Friday I went to one of the local dealers sight seeing. I have been watching for a Handi .357. Well the second Handi I picked up was a new plastic(mc)stock .357, $258 out the door

. Typical thin bluing, even on the receiver? Not case colored. Box says sb1

. I expected that anyways. The gun is tight, open or closed. Has the new long squared for end, really like that. Recoil pad is a smooth spongy rubber, I really like that.
Talked with momma, money is slow right now. But I do have one extra Mosin sooo it is on the market now. We ran to town to Christmas shop, first stop Gun shop

Merry Christmas to me, put it in the car and drove away

. Did spend the rest of the day amongst the crowds with momma(everyone is happy)
Got home pulled it out the box. Starting taking apart to clean. Momma gave me the funniest look. Then asked "why do you have to take everything apart?" I commenced to blame you guys. Told her you all said they shoot like crap unless certain things were done (thanks for covering my back)

. Anyhoo, tried to pull the forend off. Took both hands and some effort. Put the oring on, still to tight. Put a thin shim between the forend and stud, can now slide dollar bill in. Finished stripping gun cleaned latch shelf(thanks Quick) cleaned other excessive areas. Reassembled. Installed a Bushnell 4x12x40 ao. Maybe today i can get a few minutes to send some rounds down range.
Hopefully before spring I can get on Quicks list for the Max reamer. I have a T/C Max 14", hopefully they will get along

Just trying to do my part, making sure all Handi's find good homes

Just a side note. Talked with the gun guys a bit, found they do gun transfers all the time. I just have to call and let them know where to send their info. Oh yeah $15.
