Seems to me that there is a solution to the 5mm Rimfire Magnum that is just simply being overlooked here and a really cost effective one at that. Buy an NEF in .204 Ruger, get some reloading books and load a 5mm Mag equivalent load. Instead of the new 30gr. bullet, you might want to use a 32gr. V-Max instead. Figure that your full load at 400 yards is pretty much the same as the 32 gr. at the muzzle for a 5mm Remington Magnum. People download .22 centerfires all the time and I remember Sam Fadala, the writer, used to do that with his .17 Remington. He loaded that down to around 1800fps as I recall. Doing it this way will tell you a whole lot about the 5mm Rimfire Magnum and whether or not you want to invest in it. ---Mike
