Maybe flex tipped bullets IF they will stand the higher velocities.

The Hornady bullets are standard cup-and-core bullets with a flex-tip.  They will not hold up under high velocity impacts any better than other polymer-tipped cup-and-core bullets.

The Hornady 160g flex-tips are very accurate in my Marlin .30-30, however, and I plan to start using them for hunting instead of the 170g Speer and Nosler bullets.

I did this last year and this season was my first with the 160 FTX bullet. It worked very well. even tho I recovered the deer with in a short distance. the bullet appears to be on the fragile side. Now ONE DEER doesn't make for conclusive results. But no major bones hit and only shrapnel exited. Shot was 10-12 FEET quartering to me exit pieces near last rib. I'll use it again, and LOVE the accuracy!!

I would love to see any of the rifle calibers, but make it in something less odd looking than a BLR. If the new rifle doesnt work out how bout a .25 based off the 308 marlin, similar to a 250 savage

I can not imagine a Marlin lever gun w/o a tube mag.
BLR is most ugly.
Savage 99 first issue was ok, maybe with octagon barrel, cresent but plate
