Well not only my first CZ but really the first rifle that I have bought and paid for myself.
My choice, a CZ 452 .22LR with the Vamint Barrel, and mounted to it is a tasco 6-24x42 scope. I know the rifle is much better than the scope but my original budget was in the 300-400 range and well after a case, scope rings, ammo, ammo box, I was almost 800 CDN. So a better scope can come next year if I feel that i need it.
I should mention that this rifles entire life could be just at the range punching holes ( little ragged holes I hope) in paper.
Have been wanting to get back into shooting for a couple of years now and have been playing with some of the air rifles and pistols I have to help scratch the itch but the time has finaly come to get back to powder burners.
The decission making proccess was long and twisted, starting with a marlin 981T, then looking at the 7000, then back to bolt action again with the Savage mark II or the CZ. Well we all know how that turned out, after taking a close look at both of them the action on the CZ everything seemed to be machined as for the savage some parts looked stamped, also like the wood stock on the CZ and the way it felt in my hands.
Now I just have to get out and join a range get it sighted in and then start working on becoming as good a shooter as the rifle I have choosen.
