I have had a Savage Mark II 22LR bolt action for about 2 years now. I got mine at Wally World with a cheap package BSA scope for $100. I trashed the scope and ended up putting a Tasco World Class 3-9x40 Mil-Dot on it, removed the rear sites, and drilled the stock and put a stud for a Bi-Pod for it. I also shaved the barrel channel to open up the room between the stock and barrel, I like it very floated :grin:
It really has been a great little rifle, and I have taken lots of Rabbits, Groundhogs, and Squirrels with it. I've put well over 4000rds through it, and it's still a good shooter. Not quite as accurate as it was, but thats a lot of rounds for any barrel to take. I still shoot it regularly.
