They do shoot Soda Pop cans, I'm not a beer drinker, so their Pop can shooters for me.
I was trying to get a good photo of the muzzle blast for my new web site upgrade, (comming soon) 360 gr 2ff pyrodex, this is a Kodak 35mm film canister 1/16 of inch from top, shoot a pop can of Ice 745 feet. Goex 1f same voulume of powder shot the same can 867 feet. It don't hurt the can much. the Specific gravity of ice is .9, that of concrete is 2.2. those figures will tell you the weight difference between ice and concrete.
In the photo the colors blend together, the tube is Black the bed is olive green. I did not like the paint I used so I sandblasted the paint off, and repainted with a better paint. The sandblasting gives a better texture.
1/2 scale, the tube is under bored slightly for the pop can. I will have to look at the demisions tomorrow while at the shop. will post them later.
The tube is made of 1045 Steel.
I will let you know when the web site is upgraded. Will have some good photos from Vicksberg, Charolston SC, and Stones River battlefield in Tenn. plus other links.
Irishman, the blades of grass is in San Deigo. My Daughter and Son in law is doing the new site.
Thank you for your support, Rick
