Anyone have info on how to build one? Not that I would ever do that.

Charlie, A quail trap is easy. Make a large box out of hardware cloth. Cut about  6" hole at the bottom on one side and the wire a hardware cloth funnel to it going up hill slightly. Make a door anywhere else to remove them. The trap works best with a quail already in it. Scatter a bit of feed around the opening and more inside. They'll get used to it am
nd go inside.

Don   Thanks for the reply. I have seen the design you are talking about. Was wondering how big the small end of the cone is and how long to make the cone ,(approx.).
Thanks    Charlie

Sorry this reply took so long, had to go back to work and hate it!!!

Make the opening on the large end about 4" down to about 2" inside.
