I should also add that the Sako Deluxe has more applications of gloss coating on their wood, so then it's not just that the wood itself is select, but the actual process of glossing is more advanced, as well as, I think, the blueing. True, the Deluxe is more expensive than the standard version, but a lot more goes into it.
Don't get me wrong, the standard Sako is still a very fine rifle, and the Deluxe is actually a wonderful work of art and craftmanship. The question is, if you buy a Deluxe, will you actually take it out in the field and hunt with it?
