Air Traffic Controllers
« on: November 09, 2025, 01:13:22 AM »
Personally I don't care if another commercial air plane ever flies again, but I don't understand why the government employs the air traffic controllers. Maybe someone can give a knowledgeable reason why these aren't employees of the airport they work for. If they were, obviously there wouldn't be the problem there is now.
The federal government could mess up a ball bearing with a rubber hammer.

Like you Dee I could give a rats behind about commercial air travel. Haven't flew in 15 years and never will again. If I can't drive I don't need to go! I think after this fiasco of a shutdown a whole bunch of government run crap needs looked at. I agree with Trump also about the filibuster, do away with it! I'm sure if the demoncraps were in control it will happen soon enough.

What we used to need was term limits. Its  never gonna happen, congress will never vote themselves out of a job, but with term limits the way things are now could really make things crazy.

Government can never do anything as well, or efficient as the private sector can, and that includes air traffic control.

If I were an air traffic controller I think I'd find another job. You don't pay, I don't work. If they'd all walk off when they missed their first check, this would have been settled the 1st week.

Wasn't it Reagan that fired all the air traffic controllers who walked off the job once?  :-\
