Saw the irons much better after the surgery. I'm now 10 or more years beyond it and am having additional eye issues unrelated to the cataract surgery. I had a stroke in the left eye and for a few years got shots, yeah a needle in the eyeball, regularly. It's now been more than a year, maybe a year and a half since the last shot. Hopefully I will not need anymore.
But I had been noticing blurring of my vision, most looking at my monitor about 4' away and the TV about 16-18 feet away. So last time in I had them test me and they fitted me with some glasses. Most of the time my vision is clear enough without the glasses but sometimes they do help.
My 80 year old eyes are no longer 20-20 like they were at 79. But when I retired back in '95 my vision was 20-80 in left eye and 20-250 in right eye. That right eye vision is almost officially blind. Dunno how or why but after retirement they slowly improved to 20-20 again and stayed there a lot of years from around age 51 to age 79 I guess. Now to see the irons I need my glasses or a pair of reading glasses with 1.25 diopters correction. Both work well.
