To set MY RECORD straight. I got my first bike in 1962, or 63, to ride back and forth to school. As soon as I turned 16, and got my drivers license, i said so long bike, hello pickup. I've owned bikes
OFF AND ON over the years, but have never been anything close to a
hard core rider, and in fact, in my younger days spent far more of my spare time buying, selling, and breakin horses. I found it more peaceful than motorcycles, and the motorcycle environment. When I went into law enforcement, the horses went to seldom.
I did work for HD for 4 years, and rode all their bikes, and also
quit 4 times every time HD sales management came up with another hair brained sales idea. They
talked me into coming back 3 times because I sold a lot of motorcycles. I spent a lot of time there around some absolutely sorry ass bikers, some really good folks, and a multitude of
"hard core posers". it was an enjoyable experience "most of the time ".
I think if Richard wants to play in the traffic on a motorcycle, that its his business, as he is a grown man. I personally enjoyed my last one, but don't want another one.
I am at the present time
hard core old, but happy playin with cows, horses, and fraternizin with cowboys.
And YES, its still peaceful. Most of the time.
Below is a picture of me dealing with traffic on my last "hard core ride".
