Kjeff50cal, you are not imagining it. I do not have a "Marlin Midget Magnum" but I do have a small heavy blue canvas like zipper case w/ carry handles for one . It is emblazoned "Marlin Midget Magnum" in red script. I bought it for $10.00 at a gun store. It was used but like new. I use it to carry 2 barrels and a receiver from one of my H&R Handi rifles, I actually have my .22 Mag Sportster in it now along with a .17 HMR bull barrel. I often wish I could see, shot or even buy a real "Midget Magnum". However both my H&R Sportster in .17 HMR and .22 Mag are capable of shooting ragged one hole groups at 50 yards if I do my part. If you want a great deal with more punch you can buy a Sportster in .22 Mag for $103.62 plus Tax at any Wal-Mart. The process is tedious and cumbersome, frustrating even. I would suggest you try a local gunshop and pay a few bucks more but save yourself the aggravation. Try it I think you will love it, and it is small and light to fit where ever you want it. You can even order it with a "Youth Stock" to make it a bit shorter overall....<><.... (P.S.- the .17 Mach 2 is due out soon also!!)
