. . Smart students aren't given the education they need and are held back by waiting on the less smart students dragging the system down. Smart students should have separate advanced schools to go to.
Exemplary students used to be able to skip
ahead to grades commensurate with their
ability to do the work. Things haven't been
that way for a very long time.
My own mother graduated from school
at 16 but could have finished the year
before if not for circumstances.
A young relative could have advanced
3 grades had he been allowed to a
decade ago, but the school officials
wouldn't even think of it even though
the school counselor and his teachers
urged it
We have that same problem in all
of American business. Exemplary
employees with the affinity and
exceptional ability and qualifications
are often passed by because of
quotas and political correctness and
other senseless factors.
That's why we're lagging farther and
farther behind other countries that
shouldn't even be in the running
and kids from 3rd world countries
that don't even have a modern toilet
can run away with 1st place in
American spelling bees and other
scholastic contests, and snag
the good technical jobs after
graduating school
