When you get right down to it don't it feels like and wind chill have the same effect for someone with common sense? I don't get it. What's so hard to figure? Exactly why Arizonans are getting tired of snowbirds. If they would just come and enjoy the weather would be great but they can't. Arrrgh

Sure they spend money but so do illegal aliens and their so much less vocal. They try and bring their goofy ideas and politics with them also. Stay home and complain there instead of here.

Note to Bob: Humidity is not something I have to deal with but infrequently. We have lots and lots of days with single digit or barely double digit humidity. Summer around here resembles being in an oven instead of a steamer.

It's pretty chilly right now for this area and going to get chillier tomorrow. My brass monkey lost his cajonies this morning and any witches around will probably be minus their boobs tomorrow night.

I just realized what today is and it reminded me of just how much the weather can vary here. My wife and I said our wedding vows on February 13th 62 years ago. It was a Friday and we left on our honeymoon wearing short sleeved shirts.

Yes, I do. I bought a S&W 3rd model Russian revolver many years ago and it has ivory grips on it.

This next round of ice is predicted to be really close to me. A fairly large swath of Alabama mostly in the NW but extending almost to B'ham and just right at Gadsden which is within 10 miles of me.

So depending on how accurately they predict that ice line it might barely miss us or barely include us.

18 degrees and the 15 mph wind makes it feel like 4 degrees at 4:02 PM. No ice, just snow predicted for here. Not too bad if you are facing away from the wind but it gets your attention when you tun into it. I wish they would make up their mind just how cold it's going to be tomorrow. It been changing up and down in the forecast for three days now. Latest prediction is 9 degrees with the wind making it feel like -7. Low is back to -3 for tomorrow night with Monday being very slightly warmer. To tell the truth I can't feel much difference at those temps.

Was minus 8 here in Minnesota this morning. I went coyote hunting and shot one with the shotgun. Wasn't bad as there was almost no wind.

I had to drive home and defrost a water pipe in my house; put a little electric heater with a fan blowing at the water softener, in the cellar, where the freeze always is.
Did not get the water flowing to the up-stairs toilet but that has often been an occurrence, so I turned the down stairs thermostat to 57 and the up stairs one to 65.
That will fix it eventually.

As much as I hate to spend the bucks, turned the space heater on in the kitchen as it was 55 in there. 200 dollar heating bill next month.
Blew snow outside and the breeze blew some back in my face THEN the -55 F windchill hit, first my nose froze then it cracked and fell off of my face, next when I grabbed the snow blower controls, my hands froze and one broke off.
Luckily only one hand fell off , so I grabbed my nose and the other hand and drove to the clinic to have them reattached.
I feel much better now.

No danger of ice melting in my yard or driveway, 19 deg, forecast of 1-3 in snow this morning, 2 wave this evening could get up to a foot. Wanted to go ut today for Valentines day, yes, after going on 41 years come May 2. CHARLIE.

6 degrees right now and the wind that doesn't chill makes it feel like 13 below. We have just enough snow to cover the ground and it's snowing lightly. The forecast is for -5 tonight but it's colder right now than the forecast for last night so who knows how low it will go. I have plenty of propane and coffee so I'll play bear and stay in my cave till this goes away.

I left out about 5 inches of snow, and 20mph winds. I was afraid Goldie might stroke out if he laughed too hard.
