He's been there about a month, pushes himself real hard to do his best, and he pushed himself into the hospital, coughing blood, dizzy, dehydrated, etc. Hopes to be out Monday. His spirits are good, and he's mostly worried he'll get rolled back - he was selected for a 900 Division, and they're competitive for the Hall of Fame, and he's one of their top folks, so he doesn't want to let his guys down. I am certain he would appreciate any and all prayers at this time.
BTW, he either has already or is about to receive the familiar "Dear John" letter from his girl of the past 4 years. She let my wife know she was sending it, trying to do it right, and it'll be no surprise to him and might be for the best ... but it'll still hurt all the same.
I'm glad he's being taken care of, but doubly glad he's anxious on the bench and wanting back in the game. If all goes as planned, he'll graduate 12 July, and my ship is letting me fly off to see him graduate, and the recruit training command is letting me offer the invocation at the ceremony - happy papa!
