I've got two kids in college. They both have a lot of learning to do. It's that combination of idealism and ignorance that makes ideas like banning pressure cookers possible.
As for banning pressure cookers, I say there should be a program like concealed carry training for people wishing to use a pressure cooker. In the wrong hands, anything cooked in a pressure cooker takes like over-boiled cabbage. Meat has the texture of wads of wet sewing thread. In competent hands, it's a great tool for some fine cooking.
