17 Hornet

Think we will ever see a 17 Hornet Handi Rifle? Is there a way to modify an existing 17 rimfire barrel? I could probably have a 22 Hornet barrel relined, but the cost might be too high to warrant it. Any ideas on an easy route to this cartridge? TD

you rechamber the barrel from a 17hmr sportster to make one. I was going to build one out of my sportster but decided to sell it and get a bolt action in hmr.

I just bought a Savage bolt .17 Hornet.  I put the Nikon Coyote scope for the .223 on it and it works well.

A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

Mine is a 1965 manufacture handi. Was thinking about getting another barrel for it and having a gunsmith reline it and fit it to my existing rifle, but have no idea about price. TD
