I've seen my eldest brother shoot his Tang sighted Quigley 45-110 at 300 yards and he can ding a 6" steel target about every other shot. He's always been good, and military service made him even better. His son is a Marine Scout Sniper, so I will lose many shooting competitions in the family!
I'm still trying to master my 30/378 WBY and my 300 WIN Mag. Neither are as pretty or as cool as the Quigley, but both will ding the steel target if the shooter has skills to make the shot. And the Quigley cost more than both of the other rifles combined.
I may have to have a BC just for the coolness factor, but my eyes don't work well with steel sights, and I can only imagine how hard it would be to have about 36" between sights on the Quigley. My vision likes to focus NEAR or FAR, but not back and forth quickly - I get stuck and have to rest the eyes. Iron sights whip me.
Kudos to the shooter in the video. Loved it!
