Honestly I don't know and didn't care for that price.  I'm sure it's nothing special, and I'll add a better varmint scope later and use the 4-12 on one of my other guns.

Well, the H&R will have to wait.  Went to Dick's Thanksgiving night at midnight, stood in line outside for about 20 minutes, walked into the store and purchased a Remington 700 SPS Varmint with camo synth stock and included 4x12 scope in 22-250 for $349 ($449 with a $100 rebate form on top of that).

I still want the H&R in 204 ruger, but for the price, I couldn't pass up that Rem 700.

this isn't a 204 but I am pretty happy with my new 308win I picked up from Dicks on sale for $160.   It is the syn camo stock and bull barrel but came with a cheap scope and lucky for me I was able to pick up the burris fullfield II for under $100 at the same store.   Here is a pick with handloads at 100yrds.   Only the second trip to the range and hopefully I can tweek it a little more and if not I am happy, its a hunting gun.  The 270 shoots about the same and the 223 and 22-250 a little better.    the top of the target is where the writing is.
