Below discusses long range sights for the BC but doesn't mention a Japanese sight.

I don't recollect anyone using the type 99 sight, but my recollector isn't always spot on anymore!!  ??? But I do specifically remember the 30-40 Krag sight being used by a couple members, the type 99 sight doesn't look to be very H&R friendly, unlike the Krag sight which should lend itself to be mounted easily.

I mounted a Krag-Jorgensen sight I got off ebay for cheap (I wanna say $12 total). Had to use a Dremel on the base a little to improve the fit, but it works awesome.
