Does anyone know if the new Handi-grip thumbhole stock and forend can be fitted on my SB-2 reciever? Has anyone ordered one from H-R? I was wondering what the cost was. Ill call H-R next week.

Welcome! All of H&Rs stocks will fit all of their single shots. See the FAQs sticky retail parts page for more info on the Handi-grip, it's available from Midway complete with forend and hardware.

Hey Quigley, Merry Christmas!
Santa, my wife ;D, had one under the tree for me this morning. I have already installed it on my 30-06 and I really like the feel of it. I told my wife that she may have messed up by getting this for me because I'm already thinking about getting one for one of my other Handi's. That's what us Handi-Holics do you know! ;D

The pics make it look really low, in fact it is not. These are the most comfortable stocks that H&R makes in my opinion. The cheek weld is perfect.

I bought one a couple months ago to try them... Now I own two.  ;D ;D I like them very mcuh!

Comb height is a bit higher then a STD straight comb. To me it could be higher, but its not aweful. Its pad is soft and does a nice job of taming the "snap" of sharp kickers.

Since it is advertised as ambidexterious I presume the comb is on both sides of the stock........I hope. :-\

Anyone tried the Handi-grip with open sights?  Is the comb too high?

I would say most will find it OK for open site use. But not everyones facial build is the same...
