How does it work with hollow points?
The 45 HiPoint is on my list. Not "if" but "When"
I disagree about the 45 killing the sales of the 40 carbine. People will buy whichever gun will feed on the auto pistol round they are stocked up for. Think of this: 44 magnum lever actions haven't killed the sales of 357 magnum carbines. Guys buy one or both, depending what suits them.
I see no down side to Hi Point having carbines in the three popular auto pistol cartridges. It's good for them and good for the shooting public.
I have noticed that there aren't many good choises for auto pistol cal carbines that are priced what they are worth. The 9mm AR or HK offerings are way over priced. A grand or more to shoot 9mm in a rifle? Not worth it. No reason a blowback 9 mill should cost the same as a gas operated rifle caliber gun. The MP5 clones are really nice delayed blowback guns, but way over priced. There are some semi auto clones of classic sub machine guns, but they are more of a range toy for those of us who can't afford a real Tommy gun or a real Uzi. I know I want both, but it isn't happening. There are some really good offerings in the revolver rounds. Marlin, Rossi, Henry and other make guns you can really use for reasonable money. That doesn't seem to carr over to auto pistol shoulder guns.
The HiPoint is one of a real short list that costs what it's really worth to send pistol rounds down the pipe from your shoulder.
