.357 Max. A Proven Deer Killer!

Well, everyone was right- this rifle is absolutely awesome on deer. I got to take it out this weekend on its first deer hunt. I passed several deer until Sun. evening. I shot a 120lb. doe at 65 yards broadside in the chest. The 180 ssp bullet made a quarter size entry hole and a 3x1.5" exit hole, breaking ribs. It almost knocked her off her feet and only went 40yrds before collasping. This rifle is extremely accurate out to 150yards. Now, my father has to get blood with his yet. Gotta love those H&R rifles.

I was close to getting my Maxi blooded yesterday. I hope to get another try sometime in the next few days. I have full faith that it will perform well when the time comes.

Congrats on your deer!  It sounds like you made a good shot and had good bullet performance.

Congrats on the deer.Yep love that max., I'v yet to get blood yet, next week rifle comes in and hopefully things will change.
