Where to look for complete rifles????
« on: January 05, 2010, 06:18:04 PM »
Since everybody here is into Handi's, it seems not many want to part with complete rifles.  There's plenty of buying/selling/trading of barrels, but not complete rifles in the calibers I'm looking for.  Are there any suggestions for where to look for rifles in the calibers I desire?  Thanks! :)

You might try the posting in the wanted adds. There is always someone thinking of selling something ;)
Good luck in your search.

Thanks for the leads so far!

I try to avoid all auctions like the plague, however, as they tend to get overpriced.

I've posted in the WTB forum and haven't had much luck so far!  Not to mention, guys will post stuff to sell in the WTS forum that guys are looking for in WTB forum and never check there.  It tends to get a bit frustrating.  Maybe the WTS/WTB/WTT forums should be combined into one!?!  ???

That was only a month ago!  :o I wonder how I missed the poll!?!

I know I didn't get to vote, so there would have been 19 for combining! :)

I have found some smoking deals on Gunbroker.com and Gunsamerica.com Even with the transfer fees
and shipping I came out way ahead many times.

The auctions...

I guess the name of the game is watching the auctions.  Another thing to take away my shooting time! LOL! :)

Maybe I don't need another rifle that badly!  ???

I'll see what happens!

Thanks guys! :)

You can sometimes score one at a pawnshop, takes time to keep looking though unless you happen to have a shop near your house or on the way home from work!

+1 for Pawnshops. Several of the pawnshops I go to have Handi's. One of them has had used Handi's for sale every time I went in.

I got mine at gungenie.com. It came with .243/20 GA barrels. Ordered on a Sunday picked it up at a local shop on a Wednesday. Don't know if it was a good deal but it was a smooth transaction.

For price comparison, Bud's sells the 243/20ga combo for $253 shipped, plus receiving FFL fee of course. ;)
