H&R 058C 357 Mag/ 20 ga.
« on: December 17, 2009, 06:58:00 AM »
Newer member to this forum.  Just won on Gun Broker an  auction for a H&R 058C  357 mag/ 20 ga combo, as new in original box, (estate sale) for $200.00.  My question is do many of you have experience with the 357 mag. in a 22" rifle barrel?  Velocity with factory ammunition, accuracy, etc.  Any info is appreciated.

I can't speak for velocity with factory ammo but I can speak for accuracy.
My 357 is a GREAT shooter as are most of them on the site. You will be hard pressed to find somoeone who will say something bad about the 357.
I wish I would have gotten one sooner. ;)
Ask petemi how much he likes his 357's. ;D

Spanky's got it all wrong.....I'll be glad to take that .357 barrel off your hands, for lets say 80 bucks ::) :o  Seriously....you're gonna love it.  I can't rave about it enough.  Ream it to Maximum, and enjoy 3 rifles in one.  They're shooters.  Ya done real good.

Pete,

It's mostly your fault that I got the 357 in the first place. You just had to keep on about how great they were. :D  Who says I don't listen to my elders!! Thanks buddy. ;D ;D

What is an 058 vs a 158? I assume the "C" means "combo".

Model 158 Topper 4 in 1
- standard with 4-barrels in .30-30 Win., .22 Jet, 20 ga. (mod. choke) and .410 bore (full choke). Mfg. 1964-1967.
