I don't have to think about dragging deer! I have a Jeep that gets me really close. Then I have a close friend thats... well strong.  ;D

Way to go CW!
How did the FTX bullets perform with your max loads, did you get exit holes on both deer? I've been thinking of trying them in my 30-30AI.
Thanks!

GOOD SHOOTING!

No exit on the buck, but I haven't looked farther on it. He had jumped up out of a bed and ran out about 70 yards in fairly open woods. Then he turned still slightly quartering away and looked back. the shot was high in his left shoulder and didn't exit. He too didn't drop, but turned and ran back almost directly back. Staggered and went down. Traveling about 60 yards.

The doe did get an exit, but was only pieces. I hit her high in her right shoulder as she was quartering towards me. Pieces of bullet exited off side near the last rib, up high. She ran about 75 yards and died on the run in a big briar bush!!

Hey CW, thanks for the field report on the FTX bullets.
Have you chronographed your 30-30 Handi loads?

Thanks again and GOOD SHOOTING!
