This isn't an effort to LABEL anyone TM7, it is more of an experiment to see if folks are capable of SELF EXAMINATION, and seeing where they basically stand on voting. Some can, and some can't grasp the concept, and drift into definitions of fringe issues, to avoid the question, and criteria set forth. The criteria is NEVER PERFECT in such an exercise, and there are always some whom just try to push coins into the machine that do not fit. I suppose another way to phrase it is: Incapable of coloring within the lines. They don't see the picture, so they don't want anyone else to see it either.
My criteria is not perfect for each category, and I admit it, but I have noticed that if you don't categorize it, with imagined labels, EVERYONE has something to say. They pin labels on other folks, but resent having one pinned on themselves, whether real or imagined.
Each and every category I provided here, has countless threads containing the EXACT SAME ISSUES on voting stances, with railings from every side. BUT! When you put it into print, everyone attacks the printer. They want to talk about these issues I have addressed (voting stances), but they do not want to be judged by them. They instead choose to judge others, by the exact same issues. This was supposed to be a WHAT AM I "SELF EXAMINATION" thread, but it did not work out. Most have completely missed my point.
Perhaps a more clear example. If a liberal admits he vote liberal, he is ostracised by the Pseudo Conservative for being pro government. Which most times he is. If a True Conservative votes strictly pro Constitution and Bill of Rights, he again is ostracised by; YOU GUESTED IT, The Pseudo Conservative, whom claims you caused the liberal to win. I have noticed that for the most part, a liberal says he's a liberal, and an independent true conservative says he is strictly pro Constitution and Bill of Rights. It is the Pseudo Conservative that dodges. JMO
But thank you anyway for declaring yourself. It was helpful to the effort, however for the most part, it was, and is misunderstood.

As the years roll by, I find myself becoming more and more of a true conservative. I used to vote for whomever I believed to be the best candidate for the job of the two major parties, although I did vote for Perot. I no longer feel that is justification (lesser of two evils) for my vote. The antes have been raised and the stakes are too important to not take a definitive stand. I did not vote in the last election as my candidate, Ron Paul, was pushed out. If Paul is a candidate in 2012, I will vote for him, if not I will vote Libertarian.

I do this on almost a daily basis. But, that still doesn't mean that I'm going to fall in with your all or nothing attitude. I'd rather win some of what I want, rather than pout, vote my "conscience" and win none of what I want. But, that's just me.

On this thread you haven't been asked to do either, nor give you opinion. You are one of the I can't crowd. You missed the whole point, but further proved mine without trying to, and clearly identified yourself given the criteria I gave. Your "conscious choice" however is unprovoked criticism, while attempting again, unprovoked condescension toward us whom did participate. Bitter dislike for no reason.

I am a true conservative because I took an oath to up hold the laws of the constitution and protect our freedom! I vote this way because I do not want the weaker guy to be trampled on or bullied! I will not stand for changes to the constitution and believe what the founding fathers said "about every 200 years or so you need to have a revolution to put your government in check" I do not want the government telling me what i can and cant do with food I harvested or goods I made. None of their business! i agree with you Dee Thanks for great poll type place to express my views/beliefs!

Dee, you must try to get over yourself. You talk about "unprovoked criticism" and "unprovoked condescension", but both of those concepts pervade your post here, as well as most of yours that continually name call and attack those that choose to vote for a viable candidate. Sorry, if I didn't follow your rules, but I have a problem with arbitrary rules.

I guarantee you he has experienced things nobody on this board ever wants to experience. Dee has seen things that most people, not even the press, get to see. Dee had to investigate, interpret, interview, and in some cases arrest. God Bless him, and he is a friend.

They will vote against someone who wants to take their rights in one fast sweep,in favor of one that will take them at a slower pace!
Either way they lose.

I am a conservative, period. The constitution trumps all else in my book. I am for the man or woman who wants to uphold and restore it, regardless or in spite of party affiliation, or lack of.

I think I'm a true conservative now that I have voted against certain republicans at local levels, and intend to carry this attitude up to the higher levels as well. The constitution has to be the main focal point, or nothing else matters in the end. I keep trying to vote out our worthless republican representative here in Michigan, but the old dufus is still here. I will vote for anyone who holds the constitution number one, regarldless if it's a Dem, Rep, or other. The republican party may or may not find some people who fill my criteria, they may or may not totally rebuild themselves into something a real conservative can identify with...that's up to them. So far, they have been worthless, gutless, and trying to be more "inclusive", and afraid of the media and the words capitalism/conservative. If you look at the stim package, most republicans pee'd away a whole bunch of our money along with the Dems...their names were all over that needless spending in the bill.

And I ain't looking to "win" the Bozo almost winner prize either...a republican win lately is not winning anything at all. President Bush was an embarrasment to conservatism and the constitution. The fact that he was just ever so slightly better than what we have now...gives me no comfort, nor did it make me feel like a "winner".

Does that make sense??

I am an actively involved Ultra Conservative. I owe it to my self, my family, my country and to the best man or woman to vote for them. I have been interviewing those that want to run for congress from my district, attending meetings with groups from the 9/12 project, protesting with signs from Washington DC to the street corners in cities in central Florida and encouraging all to call their reps and whores to stop this nonsense of health crap care.
They will pass it. You can bet on that. (Man how I would like to eat those words) But I hope all of you got involved and called , wrote, met with your congress whore and encouraged all you know to do the same. Or go hunting.
I work just like many on here work. I have bills just like you do. I cant afford to do this. I also know I cant afford not to.
If those of you that talk a good game would get involved look what we could do.

When I was a younger man , I use to try and affect change by breaking walls or barriers down from the outside.
Now that I am older (and hopefully a little bit wiser) I now believe the only way to affect true
change is to work from the inside and try to push the walls out incrementally.

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.
