Having owned a Horton and Excalibur, I am going to have to clearly side with the Excalibur for a few reasons. With that being said, I do not have any experience with TenPoint. The most recent issue that I had with my Horton was there would be a minimum 2-3 week wait until any warranty repair person could even look at my crossbow, and that is if I hand delivered it to Horton's Factory personally. In regards to the Excalibur, Danny Miller (located in Ohio) will ensure quick repair, and Excalibur stands behind their products....PERIOD. Not saying other companies don't, but I am the type of consumer that expects performance out of my purchases, and if I have problems I want fast results/repairs. Excalibur, has a similar cranking device to TenPoint's device to cock their crossbows, so if pulling these cables back is difficult, Excalibur has you covered. One of the major pluses in my eyes, besides the unmatched accuracy delivered by Excalibur, is that it has easy maintenance. I can change the cable on my Excalibur with factory standard issued equipment, quicker that you can say "I need a crossbow press for my TenPoint, do you know anyone who has one, and how much does it cost for an Archery shop to re-string my TenPoint?" I like a crossbow that if needed in the field, most of the repairs can be dealt without having to seek out a Archery Shop only to find they don't have the parts you need. The Excalibur definitely deserves a long hard look if you are considering a crossbow purchase. Oh, and if their is any question to which crossbows dominate in accuracy, here it is.
