I know it hurts you to learn that the Mexicans are angry at us mean ol Americans for wanting to protect our country, but we'll get over the hurt! But there's one thing to be said about the Mexican politicians. They make laws that protect their nation, while our politicians sell us out! Now call me, but first dial one for English - hehehe and hehe. Now is the time for all good men to clean out the polluted, defiled halls of congress, and the White House.

Unbelievable!!! The shoe is on the other foot and the Mexicans from Sonora don't like it. Can you believe the nerve of these people? It's almost funny.

State of Sonora, Mexico is angry at the Flood of Mexicans returning to Mexico!

Nine state legislators from the Mexican state of Sonora traveled to Tucson to complain about Arizona's
new employer crackdown on illegal's from Mexico.

It seems that many Mexican illegal's are now returning to their hometowns and the officials in the Sonora state government are ticked off about it. A delegation of nine state legislators from Sonora was in Tucson on Tuesday to say Arizona 's new employer sanctions law will have a devastating effect on the Mexican state.

At a news conference, the legislators said Sonora , (Arizona 's southern neighbor, made up of mostly small towns,) cannot handle the demand for housing, jobs and schools it will face as Mexican workers return to their hometowns without jobs or money.

The Arizona law, which took effect Jan. 1, punishes employers who knowingly hire individuals who don't have valid legal documents to work in the United States. Penalties inclu de suspension of, or loss of, their business license. The Mexican legislators are angry because their own citizens are returning to their hometowns, placing a burden on their state government.

'How can they pass a law like this?' asked Mexican Rep. Leticia Amparano-Gamez, who represents illegales . 'There is not one person living in Sonora who does not have a friend or relative working in Arizona ,' she said, speaking only in Spanish. 'Mexico is not prepared for the tremendous problems it will face as more and more Mexicans (working in Arizona and sending money to their families) return to hometowns in Sonora without jobs,' she said. 'We are one family, socially and economically,' she said of the people of Sonora and Arizona .

Wrong! The United States is a sovereign nation, not a subsidiary of Mexico, and its taxpayers are not responsible for the welfare of Mexico's citizens. It's time for the Mexican government, and its citizens, to stop parasitically feeding off of the United States and to start taking care of its/their own needs. Too bad all the US states don't pass a law just like Arizona 's. Maybe that's the answer, since our own Congress will not do anything!

NOW...Check this:
New Immigration Laws: Read to the bottom or you will miss the message...
1. There will be no special bilingu al programs in the schools.
2. All ballots will be in this nation's language.
3. All government business will be conducted in our language..
4. Non-residents will NOT have the right to vote no matter how long they are here.
5. Non-citizens will NEVER be able to hold political office...
6. Foreigners will not be a burden to the taxpayers. No welfare, no food stamps, no health care, or other government assistance programs. Any burden will be deported.
7. Foreigners can invest in this country, but it must be an amount at least equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage.
8. If foreigners come here and buy land... options will be restricted.
Certain parcels including waterfront property are reserved for citizens naturally born into this country.
9.. Foreigners may have no protests; no demonstrations, no waving of a foreign flag, no political organizing, no bad-mouthing our president or his policies. These will lead to deportation.
10. If you do come to this country illegally, you will be actively hunted &, when caught, sent to jail until your deportation can be arranged. All assets will be taken from you.
Too strict?......
The above laws are current immigration laws of MEXICO !!!
They sound fine to me. NOW, how can we get these laws to be America 's immigration laws??

These idiots also guard thier southern boarder wit harmed troops and let no one in and you are not allowed to fly any flag but the three color rag with the buzzard on it and are not allowed to celibrate any other countries holidays.
While we have schools in CA that are flying the Mex rag over an upside down American flag having an american flag on your car in Mex will have it impounded! And Spanish is the ONLY language allowed! You want to know what it says.. Learn spanish or HIRE a translator. English or free translators are not provided.

to be honest ,i find them to be a very pretty people...
but we need them up here spending tourist dollars an then going back home ...
we promise if we visit your country...we will spend some tourist dollars also...
we promise we will go home after a week or so.
some of us are related to you...but that means you mabe stay 2 weeks,,max....call before you come

These people are not working for pesos or Canadian money... They get paid $$$, USD from Americans. The funds are coming from our own pockets just like the money the drug lords are getting. Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice, shame on me! Now, how many years have they been working here for our dollars. We need to clean up our own greedy house. By the way, you will have to mow your own yard.

There are three problems with the Mexicans here.
1) they are not paying taxes and they are using up more tax dollars than they are contributing.
2) they are demanding that they be treated like they are home and do not want to assimilate.
3) they want us to change to make it easier for them here but do not want to confront thier own government to make it like the US there.

And if we gave them back Texas, Arazona, New Mexico, Navada, or California they would screw them up and would be headed trying to sneak across the boarder to Oragon, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Lousania.

The drug gangs are another problem!
and we should secure our boarders against them. Billions of $ head south for drugs and they have had the Mexican army attack US Border patrol units to ensure drugs get north. Didn't Black Jack Pershing invade Mexico in 1916 to find and kill panch Villa for attacking border towns?

I thought they had already made a pretty good mess of the states you mentioned. Go in most of the stores an you would think you were in Mexico listening to the language spoken the most by the patrons and the music being played in the stores.

Um. Sonoran officals coming to Arizona to complain that Arizona labor laws are having a devastating effect on Sonora? I know what I, were I one of the Arizona officials, would have said. I think I would personally have bodily ejected them from the room too, and then had them escorted to the border by the five meanest looking state policemen available.

If the obama supporters in this country had the work ethic of most mexicans, there would be no need for welfare in this country! Say what you want about them, but the mexicans I have worked with, from truck farms to construction are the hardest workers I have ever seen. We have an immigration problem in this country that we should fix by sending one obama supporter back to africa for every mexican that comes here. In ten years america would be an industrial and economic giant like it was just a few years ago.

I would rather have a family of illegal migrant farm workers living next door than the welfare sucking, drug dealers that live there now! SWAT has raided the house three times this year already! Drug dealers are also CRIMINALS. Nuff said.

I didn't miss your point at all. You were trying to justify letting the illegals alone, because there is someone you think is worse. I say we need to address both. And, since the illegals don't belong here in the first place, take care of them first.

Most Mexicans I ever had any dealing with, were very hard workers, and easy to get along with. And they, and their familys, had entered this country legally. Held down good paying jobs, or went to work for themselves. Which is more than I can say for the dealings I've had with other minority's, that have been in this country longer than than any of my ancesters, that came in the 1800's and early 1900's. gypsyman

I don't know how things are where a lot of you guys live, but the biggest drug dealer problems out here are illegal and so called legal Mexicans.

I concur that some Mexicans do work hard, but so do a lot of Americans. That doesn't give them a right to come here illegally. And just because some of them are very nice and Goddly folks, doesn't mean they all are and I don't want even the best of them in this country illegally, or any other way. We don't have a shortage of poopulation. Heck, I don't want more foreigners coming here to live, no matter where they're from. That's my idea of fair and equitable and I'm sticking to it.

I too have met a few families from Mexico and have worked and lived closly to them.
My problem with the illegals is 5 Fold
1 they ignore our laws and expect us to allow it. And tell us our laws are jokes.
2 the state officials that allow it, come down hard on the citizens if we ignore or break a law. I would say fine if they get to ignore a dozen laws then I should be allowed to pick a dozen and ignore them too. All will be tax laws!
3 If the state, county, or city officials are not going to inforce the law equally then there is NO LAW!
4 the drug dealers that you are worried about next door are getting their drugs from MEXICO and is smuggled in by that nice family that lives next door as they come back from Mexico.
5 ALL they want is our MONEY! they want to work here, have us assimilate to them, take our $ and go back to Mexico to retire.
To clean up the problem we should announce all illegals no matter where they are from will be deported to Iraq, France, Lybia, or China.
They won't be be back in three to five days.

Abe Lincoln/ Andrew Johnson did what you propose. he sent the US Marines into what is now Lyberia and Johnson only sent the ones that wanted to go, Lincoln's plan was to send ALL freed slaves back. johnson had the marines set up a government and had Northern free blacks fill the positions of that government and Ta DA Lyberia was formed! A lot of the slaves did not understand free and it still follows in the society today. When some were asked if they wanted to go to a new free country most ex slaves stated that they would stay and work here ( the plantation) for master and he will take care of them like he always did. Fast forward 130 years and they are still looking for the new Master (liberals and government ) to take care of them.

Having spent most of my life in an area where we work with and have Mexican neighbors, I must agree that most of them are hard working and dependable workers. My problem is not with the legal, but those that are here illegally stealing from the American tax payer.

America was made by immigrants from all over the world; all have groups that are an asset, as well as those who are trash. Most of the migrants that came to America assimilated into the American society, learned to speak English, earned a living and paid taxes, Most Mexicans refuse to do this; they tend to bring their customs and ghetto style of life with them, and expect us to change to meet their standards.

All are not bad, but there are a great number of thugs and hardened criminals among those here illegally. Due to over crowding in Mexican prisons a large number of convicts were released and given instructions to cross the border. Are these folks an assets to America? Should we send them home?

A young man who worked for me use to say I am an American-Mexican, America first but of Mexican decent! If they have that attitude, are legal, have a job, pay taxes and speak English then, in my opinion, they welcome. I don’t believe in “press one for English,” free medical care (except for emergency life saving procedures.) and don’t think we should recognize anchor babies as American citizens.

I know it's an unpopular opinion here, but personally I just have little problems with the Mexicans here. Our country was made up from immigrants coming over, and when most of our ancestors came over there wasn't all this paperwork. You showed up, you signed up, and you were an American citizen (for those that even had to do that - further back it was less). And we certainly didn't come over and drop our language to start speaking Cherokee.

If they want to come over, I say let them. Put a registration gate at the border where they can signup and get registered for a SSN etc so they can pay taxes. If they fail to do that then prosecute them for tax evasion just any anyone else would be (we have plenty of legal citzens working under the table too).

Their culture and their language is theirs. If they don't want to learn or speak anything else that's fine. Overtime the two languages will blend into something that works for everyone, and that's ok. The English we speak now is certainly NOT the English of 200 years ago. Heck go back more than 600 years and "English" isn't even recognizable anymore. Anybody ever tried to read the Canterbury Tales in it's original wording? Good luck.

The bottom line is we can't wall ourselves up and think that we'll never change. People and cultures change or they fade away. I think we'll adapt though. This "the foreigners will destroy everything if we don't stop them!!!" attitude is nothing new. The Germans and Irish were subject to the same types of discrimination when they starting migrating over in droves. Much to everyone's surprise, we're still here, and we're stronger for the diversity they brought.

I suggest you read the history of the early Roman and Greek empires. Wasn’t immigration and failure to assimilate one of the major contributing causes to their failure?

As for the language, one school district here in the great state of Texas has to teach is 17 different languages, why should I as a tax payer have to bear the burden of educating these children when their parents have no desire to learn our language?

Bottom line, there ain’t no such thing as a free ride as you advocate.
