Being a heart patient and needing to keep my cholesterol down, and also having diabetes, I avoid McDonalds, Burger king, Taco Bell, and all other fast food places.
Once a week I will splurge with my diet, and meet my son and wife in town. Usually not fast food, but sometimes we just feel like a burger. Or when we are traveling to Anchorage, we will stop at a fast food joint. Arby's Roast Beef is lowest in fat, so they are candidates, and we don't have them in the Interior of Alaska. The nearest one is 360 miles away. Carl's Jr. has a Carb Free Burger, a regular hamburger wrapped in lettuce leafs instead of a bun, for me. But usually we go to Subway where I get the Veggie Delight On Flat Bread.
Once a year when I go to Tennessee, I throw all caution to the wind and my brothers and I go to the Krystal, and I will usually eat 6 to 8 of those little burgers. Glad they don't have Krystal and White Castle here in Alaska. Unhealthy, but they sure do taste good.
As for Sushi? I'm sorry mcwoodduck, but we call that stuff bait. I just can't bring myself to eat that. Reminds me of being down on the Russian River on the Kenai. The folks from the Far East will open up a Salmon and pull the eggs out and start eating them right there on the river bank, raw.
