Don't give up the ship yet HH, BNB and we all owe you a lot for putting this together and letting us know of his misfortune. Stay involved buddy, you were and are the catalyst for this whole thread and for all the thoughts, prayers, and help going out to BNB, and by the way, Thanks for everything you did, as the words of the title go to finish the saying, ..."is a friend indeed"....<><...:)

Thanks again friends, One thing good about all this is my genral health had been declining, Just getting lazy I guess, But this may have lit a fire for me to look after my basic well being.
Also, thar be some pretty ladies around here taking care of me and the nursing school at the University of Kentucky is just around the cornner so I'm getting cared for by some really nice young wannabe nurses, Now if that can't cheer up a broken ole man I don't think nothing will.

Biggest problem I see for the short term is I'm gonna have some extra time on my hands but won't have the extra cash to work on my new handie projects. All big dollar things are now  on hold, But I do have plenty of powder and bullets, so I can work up some loads. I have alot of cast .357 and .45-70 so I will probably load a bunch up lite and work on my off hand shooting at short range, The .44 will probably get a work out to,

Well fellas I'm home and I can move around pretty well but I sure tire out quick, even sitting down here in front of my keyboard, ahalf hour is about all I can do before I gotta lay down.

Doing well thou and I expect all my rifles will be very clean and all my ammo boxes will be full in a couple of weeks, I just hope I can stand to spend some time at the shooting bench soon. I got that new .44 mag barrel to work up some loads with and I've neglected my .38-55 I need to get it lined out. I think I'll go surf the forums for awhile now and throw in my 2 cents worth where I can .

Hi BNB!!! Glad to have you back onboard, even if you are still a bit sore and tired. At least you are here with us, it's better than the alternative. Rest as you need and read often. If you get bored I will send you a thousand or 2 empty hulls to fill for me...<><.... :D ;D ;)

Hey just a thought, does your state have a disabled hunters program?  Even if it's tempotary you can get the freezer filled.  In Ca. disabled hunters can hunt from their vechicle!

Yes we do, Kentucky Has a great wildlife dept and really looks after her sportsman. I know I can get permission to use a crossbow for the rest of the year and possibly hunt from a ATV. But I can walk pretty well now and it will only get better with time so I don't think I'll have to use thease privlages.  Lifes good, The sun bright, falls here, I am sore but moving around.  What more could I ask for.

Thanks Lon and Ro

I was out yesterday for a doctors appointment and the Haywood and his wife took me out to dinner, It was a nice day and a plesent evening but man was I wiped out by the time we got home.

I know I can try to hunt but I won't be very far into the woods and I'll have to get help getting one out if one should fall to my firearm of choice.

He'll have plenty of help with the dragging, but I think the deer might have a tenderloin missing by the time it gets back to the house.  LOL

To IAN:
Only 1 tenderloin missing?

To BOB:
Make sure you only shoot little young does.
Besides being much better to eat you have to kill more of them to fill the freezer which means more hunting and shooting.
Also maybe the guys dragging them out for you will take pitty at the small size and not take any of the tenderloins, knowing full well that the more they take the more you will have to shoot to fill that freezer and by this the more deer they will have to drag.
HUNTER PHYSICALOGY!!!   :D

Hey Lonny I have some friends with a trailer and I bet we could scrounge up a recliner, Did I mention the reddish tint most of my friends have to there necks? As to them young does, young and tender beats out old  and tough anyday  But four being the limit in my zone so maybe I can get some of the larger young ones.... Some nice fat rabbits and a few Grouse running around hunt camp also, .22 sportster or hornet will do nicly for them. We'll be eating good in the neibourhood Thats for sure.

Bob, my kid was an AE2, served nine years with Prowlers EA6-Bs.  I'm a seven year Navy '60s vet.  I could kick both our butts for getting out.

Glad to hear you're doing better.  I'll see you in camp.  Pete

I joined in 79 and after my first tour was up I wanted out, The economy at that time was worst than it is now so I stayed in. One of the best decisions of my life.  I can make small talk about it a day But the short of it is I am a patriot, I care and I'm glad I could help.

I worked A6-Es first then a few years at AIMD, decided to work helos after that playing with SH-2Fs, the last two squadrons I worked with flew F-14As and Bs.  I still do work for the Goverment fixing up helos for the army.

My avitar, The Enterprise was the last ship I was assigned to, I retired before I ever got underway aboard her thou.

Thats too bad. You are on the wrong side of the river. Indiana is alowing us 8 does per county here in Southern Indiana. My boy put a nice one in the freezer for our youth hunt, plus I put down a spotted road kill. So my freezer filling has started. Good luck.
