Savage Picture thread anyone?
« on: July 09, 2008, 01:55:06 PM »
Since I didn't see one I figured I would get one started. Here are my ladies! :)

First is a Model 12 VLP in .204. Mueller 8.5-25x50mm AO Eradicator sits atop!

Second is a Model 93R17. Bushnell Banner 6-18x50mm AO sits atop.

Let's see some others!

This is my Savage 10FP in .223 that has a Bushnell Elite 4200 on top of it. It has a B&C stock and is a real pleasure to shoot.

Very nice rifles, indeed!  Way to go, fella's.    :)

None of mine are custom or fancy.  Just good shooters.  Consistent, predictable and fun.   ;)

From the top:

Savage:
110 .30-06
110E .270

Stevens:  .223; .243; .25-06; 7MM-08; .30-06  (Not in order)

Most scopes are Bushnell Banner 3X9's with a Banner 4X12, a Simmons 4X4 and Nikon Pro Staff thrown in.

 :)

EVOC you really should consider getting a couple of savage/stevens type rifles looks like you are really hurting for them.

The 35 Whelen is a great round. You can load the Whelen "down" to a 35 Remington (well....kind of....you can get it close), but you can't load the 35 Rem "up" to the Whelen. ;D

Here is a pic of mine, Stevens 200 in 30-06. Painted the stock, swapped out to a Rifle Basix trigger and am loving it. Planning to buy another in 243 or 25-06 in a few weeks.

260 with Savage barrel in a Boyd's stock.

338/300RUM with Shilen barrel in a Joel Russo A5L stock.

I've got a couple others in the safe for future projects.  I have a hard time passing up a $200 Savage. ;D

Send it on over in a PM! That way I will have it on hand in case he doesn't get my e-mail.

BTW: what was the price like for that stock? Wait time?

No target pictures, next time I shoot paper I'll try to remember to snap some.  Let's just say they shoot very well, better than me most likely. ;D
