Do any of you guys with the 44 mag barrel handload? If you do are you willing to help me out with some info . I am just getting started reloading and any info would be greatly very helpful.I have Lil gun and 2400 powder and some 240,255 and 300 grain bullets. The 255 are hard cast and the other two are jacketed.
Thanks in advance and good luck to all the hard working people at the H&R  plant that is closing.

I use mostly 240's and H-110.  Haven't used LilGun in the 44 yet, but really like it in 357 and hot 45 colt loads.  Should work OK in the 44, as Hodgdon lists it for several jacketed loads in the 2008 annual manual, then with 325g cast bullets they list it as well.  Looks like with loads up to 355g., it runs even with H-110.   I haven't used 2400 for many years, so can't say anything about it.  Check out some of the handgun or reloading sites on GBO for more comment.  And for sure, check reloading manuals, anyone can type the wrong charge by mistake!  I have alot of fun with the pistol caliber guns, easy to reload and cheaper as well.  Gets the kids involved as well, then they aren't stuck in front of the TV or playing one of the stupid video games.  DP.

I shipped one of my 308's back last month for a little-up work, per call the woman was very nice sent me a pre-paid UPS shipping label to ship rifle to NEF, this rifle is five plus years old, its been a great shooter, just getting a little play. She said they would fix it free of charge, great CS service, they recived it May-09, i called back and had a 223 barrel fitted to the frame, i like schnabel forends, she said they stopped running schnabel forends but had some in stock with marks for half price, i ordered three of them for 7.50 each, they look great i see no marks or scraches on any of them, they replaced all springs and did a barrel catch heat treatment and trigger job free of charge, also when i opened the new 223 barrel box there was two new sets of scope bases and hammer spur sets also free of charge, they got the gun on 5-09, invoice date is 5-19, i got the gun back on 5-26-08, great turn a round time, that is great service, i hate to see the Gardner plant close.
