I was curious on reaming the 357 out to 357 max.Is this something that needs to go to a gunsmith or is it something you can buy a tool for & do yourself. Also I was curious about when you ream the barrel out to 357 max can you still shoot standard 357 mag bullets?

You can rent the reamer and do it by hand, you can then shoot 38 special, 357Mag, 360 Dan Wesson as well as Max in it.
