It can depend on several factors.
For one is the shape of your face.
That sounds funny, but it's true in that some people have longer faces and some have round, and the distance between can vary when it comes to your cheek weld on the stock.
I have a longer face than my brother, and we discovered this setting up our bows because the nocking points, and the string peep sights were off by about a 1/2" between the two of us, but my neighbor had no problem using my settings.
Same with gunstocks, and also the height in which you mount the scope.
On the handi, you have to mount the scope to clear the hammer, and that may require a taller scope ring set.
Whereas you could mount the scope forward in a scout mount configuration, and be able to mount it as low as possible to the barrel.
It's all about if it fits, then you can get away with it, and if not you may need the monte carlo.
