I agree, I'd "low ball 'em " and see what happens. It always opens the door for price negotiations. I still have my security 6. Mines a 4" stainless .357 with walnut grips. The only thing I've done is changed the grips, I placed a set of Hogue grips on it only to replace them with a set of Pachmyer decelerators. I gave 150.00 for mine a "few" years back. I had left the ambulance service as an EMT and went to work with the Sheriff's Dept so I could go back to school. At the time all officers were required to furnish their own weapons. I stopped by the office one day to pick up my letter to purchase from the Sherriff ( a letter that bypassed the then mandatory "waiting period" and allowed for an over the counter sale) A day shift Sgt. and I were talking and I made mention of wanting a revolver, when he made mention of the above gun and showed it to me at his house later that day I jumped on it. I also got a half box of hollowpoints, two speedloaders and a leather basketweave carrier for the speedloaders out of the deal.
