They are getting mixed reviews, some quite favorable. The problem with low-end equipment is that it's always a crap shoot. So if you've got $500 to gamble, go for it.
Personally I can't afford to risk buying cheap equipment because of all the expense and trouble it typically causes, so I find out what's good at a price I can find a way to pay, pay the money, and live happily with the results. I can't think of a single instance of where I bought a cheap piece of hunting, fishing, or shooting equipment that I didn't regret later.
Going rate for a good O/U is about $1500 new. Some used ones are less. If you really want an O/U, save up and get a good one. You won't regret it.
