Got any pics of the gun? Sounds like it is a sweet machine, even for a Remington.
Hey, what do you mean.....even for a Remington? For the money, they make a very nice rifle...probably the best overall value in the marketplace all things considered. They shoot extremely well, the fit and finish is good, the triggers are very good once adjusted, and they are the basis for a good many custom rifles...they must be doing something right! I know bad mouthing Remington is a way of life for many people but after owning 30 some Remingtons, I have never had an issue with any of them. On the other hand, the Winchesters sucked in so many ways, the Weatherby would often not fire because of a weak firing spring, the Browning firing pin broke after just 4 rounds, and the Sako 75's are too darn heavy and bulky to carry all day....shot well though. But a nice Rem 700 balances well, shoots straight and takes a lot of abuse without so much as a hiccup.
Just my 2 cents.
