Tennbuck, I tree stand hunt with my 30-06, T3. It seems to shoot Noslet Partitions. ballistic tips and Fusion all good in a 180 gr Federal commercial load. However, last year I tried 180gr Barnes Triple shock and they shot like match bullets. I was very impressed with this Federal load. These bullets really get the job done on very large Canadian whitetails, none went further than 30 yards! I haven't tried anything in the 165gr and 150gr but I will in the future. I really do believe every barrel can be quite different so get a good rest and go at it. I am also a very happy camper using Nosler Partitions they have been just great for many years. Just because they are loder technology doesn't mean they don't work just fine. Sometimes a real long shot is better with a Partition because you know it will open quite well at lower velocities.
