I didn't pick the 673 up yet, but I do have money on it. I went to look at it today, and put my hands on it. It is a nice looker. It will come home with me by the end of November. I don't like the idea of a 'J' lock on the bolt, but I guess I can live with it for now.
If you think you may want a 673, now is the time to pick up the 6.5mm Rem Mag, if that is a caliber you think you might want. A .350 Mag is also one that is as desirable in that Model ...IMO. The 2 inch longer barrel is much more suited to those Magnum Cartridges than the 660's. Again, my opinion.
Your Mohawk is a nice keeper. Another one hardly anybody wanted back when they were in the Shops new. I have a friend who bought a 6.5 Mag back when they were offered before. He loves his. He also likes the price they command at auctions now. I know he will foam at the mouth when he sees my 673, even though he doesn't care for the longer barrel for hunting in brushy Maine.
I won't be looking for more gun space. This is it. When I bought a place to put them, I didn't buy something small to begin with. I am done now. I can concentrate on buying ammo and components before the big price increase hits hard.
