I would definitely upgrade the scope of the 110 combo. The 110 package features a low-end scope (thus the low-end price). It does have decent rings and bases, though. You can get a good Bushnell Elite 3200 or Burris Fullfield II on Ebay for less than $200. They are sharp, reliable scopes without the bells and whistles of scopes costing twice that much. That's my recommendation.
BTW, $200 for a Savage 110 .270 is a steal, with or without optics! You will love the .270 with 130 grain bullets for deer and coyotes. A little more gun than you needed, but if you ever want to do elk, moose, black bear, etc., you are good to go. Enjoy!8)
