Garden tomatoes

Any way to make them ripen faster, was thinking about taking a few off the vine and throwing them in a paper bag and closing the top?

No, NO, NO!!!!

Leave them maters on the vine to ripen. Your taste buds will thank you. We've eaten and frozen a bunch already. Ours are about to play out. I think I'm gonna pull what's leave and have them as friend green maters. Yum, yum.

I am going to end up with a bunch of green tomatoes at the end of the season and believe I will pickle them. Been thinking about frying some up though :)

I don't personally care for pickling anything but cucumbers into pickles. Fried green maters is good vittles.

Pickled green tomatoes go great with pinto beans and fried catfish.

My Grandmother used to make pickled green tomatoes and even as a kid I loved them. Doubt mine will be anywhere near as good as hers.
