Anyone hunting NE California or Oregon on the Opener?

I will be!  Looks like we (Dad and I) will be hunting the Sprague River, Or and staying at Stateline RV park this coming weekend.   

This forum is pretty dead and I'm hoping I can help it build into something that gets more than 1 post/week.

I won't be going to Oregon for any ducks.  I am still mad at them for that Oklahoma football game a few weeks ago.     j/k

We do need some life in this forum.  Surely we have some duck hunters out there!!!!

I went to my honey hole last Sunday.  Three foot of weeds and no water.   

I went teal hunting a few weeks ago at a different lake and saw a lot of mud, a little water.  Still had fun, even though I almost got stuck while loading the boat.  Thank goodness for four wheel drive.

Only a few weeks to go until opening day.

Well the early opener on the Sprague River was pretty poor.  We got em but the numbers of ducks were not there and we shot all sprig and gadwalls *ew*.  I guess the ducks moved out Friday night sometime b/c Saturday morning there was very few.  Had a good time however. The opener down here was last weekend but with 80 degree days I'm not even thinking about going.

Our Oklahoma zone 1 opener is this weekend.  I finally found a spot with water, but I anticipate that I am not the only one that will be there Sat.

I took my 10 year old out last weekend for our youth weekend.  He shot 11 times and bagged 0.  He still had a blast.  I was just happy we didn't have any cripples, just lots of dead air.
