Has anyone here added express-type sights to a Ruger #1?
« on: September 27, 2006, 12:35:55 PM »
I've been thining about setting up my Ruger #1 .375 with some express-type sights-- maybe a standing fixed sight regulated at 50yds with a 100-yd folding leaf-- to replace the feeble factory rear sight and a high-visibility front bead (I know I can get this from NECG).

I want to still be able to mount a scope, the iron sights a just for back-up.

It would be cool to be able to utilize the existing rib.

Has anyone here done something like this?

A buddy of mine has the Ruger # 1 in 375 H&H but he uses the original sights. Won't change.

I think it would be great, NECG also makes a peep sight which would be very nice also.   I have seen some customs with better rear sights, gotta dig though.
