Interarms Whitworth
« on: September 26, 2006, 04:38:00 PM »
I am looking at a Whitworth in 458 Win. Mag.  It is in great condition, nice wood and the ebony forearm cap.  It is being offered to me as part of a trade for another rifle.  I have seen them on the net for anywhere from $500 to $850.  I intend to have it reamed a little to accomodate a 458 Lott.
I have no idea what it is worth or what any one thinks of them.

I would REALLY appreciate your feed back and advice.

Ruger M77 243, Browning B2000, Ruger 22's, Ruger Red Hawk, SBlackhawk, Savage 223 Target...about 20+rifles less than I used to have. :-(

It is worth whatever you are willing to pay if it is something you want.  $500 isn't a bad price provided the stock isn't cracked. I paid $600 for my 375 H&H in 90% condition a year ago. Is the barrel marked Manchester,England ? Those are getting harder to find of late.
The romantics of the sport seem to like English made arms thus the price is high.
