I currently own a Ruger in .280 Rem. Good gun, shoots good, but I don't like the action. It has a "sticky" feeling to it, like it is binding up or something. I give it thorough cleanings regularly. I've thought about trading it in and getting a different brand. I have always been partial to Remington, but recently, I shot a 7MM in the Sako. I loved it, the way it shot, the smoothness of the action, and the overall feel. Could I take my gun to a gunsmith to some how get them to make the action a little smoother? I've shot a few older Rugers, (Mark I & Mark II models) that have had some use, and the action seems a little better. My little brother has a .25-06 with a medium weight barrel, and his action seems smoother. I just wanted some opinions on what to do.
