stevens 200, correct sims recoil pad
« on: September 18, 2006, 12:48:53 PM »
Just sighted in my Stevens 200 .308. Wow, 3 shots touching at 100 yards using a post as a rest. From someone who owns three custom mauser 98's, this is a great little rifle! I topped it off with a Nikon 4x40 Buckmasters scope, I'm very happy. Now my shoulder is not, I was wondering if anyone knows the model of the Sims recoil pad for the Stevens 200.

Thanks,

I have the same gun in 25-06, along with a couple of syn. savages.  Not sure about the Sims recoil pad, but the Pachmayr prefit decelerator made for the savage 110 syn. stock fits just fine.  I have this recoil pad on all my mine, works real good and it does add a little length as well.  The stevens 200 syn. stock is the exact same as the savage syn.  Mine even states "savage 110" inside the barrel channel.
