not a bad deal at all
« on: September 18, 2006, 12:30:20 PM »
I was talking with a fellow at a gunshop in Olathe, Ks., to get prices on H414 powder and just for the heck of it we started to talk CZ. I ask the prices of new CZ 527 Americans in .223 Remington and he said he'd have to look. While he was looking I told him that I already have one, I just wanted to know what they were going for. Well, he asked if it had to be new and I said it made no difference because I was just in the asking mood, not the buying mood. He said $490 for a new one and then he said his wife has one for sale. It is CZ 527 American in .223 Remington. He said it has no dings on it at all and it getting one inch groups with no load development at all. He said for all practical purposes it is new in box, but will be sold at a used price. He said she wants $300 for it. I would imagine a shipping and handling charge on his part and a transfer fee at your end and the deal would be done. I don't feel right putting his e-mail up, but if anyone is interested, contact me by e-mail at tom.purdom@sbcglobal.net and I'll get you two together. Tom Purdom ;D

Olathe, Kansas. I told someone in El Paso, Texas, about it and he may well have jumped on it when I first posted this post. The owner worked in a gunshop and said he would be willing to ship the rifle off at regular shipping costs, not the "shipping and handling" some companies charge to make a bit more money off the deal. There is also one hell of a deal going on with CZ 550 Full Stocks in 7x57mm. See my  post about the Full Stock 7x57mms in this forum.
