According to my records, your rifle was manufactured in late 1937.
It is possibly an early "EG" model. If so, it will have a slender forearm with a schnoble end of the muzzle end of the forearm and it won't have any checkering on the forearm or the butt-stock. If in .22 Hi_power, .250-3000 or .30-30, it will have a 22" barrel. If in .300 Savage caliber, it will have a 24-inch barrel.
It will have a semi-buckhorn rear sight, wood will be plain walnut with rubbed oil finish. The buttplate will be corrugated shotgun-type steel and it will have a capped pistol grip.
As to the sight... I am not familiar with the 'scope sight you mentioned, but that doesn't mean much since I'm not all that familiar with that brand of sight or with the sights of that period. However, it was not a factory-original sight. In fact, the EG model was not drilled and tapped for scope mounts until 1957.
