Browning Base---Need Help

Need help on scope bases for new A-bolt medallion. Using Leupold standard bases---- do you turn the windage screws on the rear base toward the muzzle or butt end of rifle??? Thanks.

Kentucky, They are standard right hand thread. Turn right to tighten left to loosen. In order to adjust windage you must loosen one side and tighten the other to move point of impact. I usually just set them in the center, then mount the scope in the rings. There is usually plenty of adjustment in the scope to sight in. If not then use the windage in the base. Regards, Byron

I think my nephew's new A-bolt medallion is going to be a shooter. If it shoots as good as it looks, it will be a dandy, cause that is one beautiful rifle!!
